Isabelle Carabantes is first and foremost the story of a double passion: working with clay and animals.
Isabelle lives and works in Fontainebleau, France. She learned sculpture at the Ateliers des Beaux-Arts in Paris where she studied modeling from live models, which she later abandoned, to devote herself mainly to animal sculpture. Nature offers her a fascinating world and magical moments of contemplation.
Each work begins with a study of the anatomy of the animals, then by a study of their social structure to restore with emotion, their wild beauty, power, and fragility. She understands very quickly that between humanity and animality, the border is tenuous, that the Animal is also the future of Man.
